About the Society
The Society of Motion Picture Still Photographers
was founded in 1995 as a nonprofit, honorary organization dedicated to the art of motion picture still photography.
Our interests include the promotion of archival preservation of still pictures shot during the production of motion pictures for their historical and cultural importance and to provide a forum for our members to exchange ideas and discuss the ever changing issues facing photographers today.
Our members hail from the US, Canada, Great Britain, Denmark, Spain, France and Australia.

It's awards season in Hollywood, and our members have a few awards of their own:
Congratulations are in order for winners of the 2013 ICG Publicists Awards for Excellence in Unit Photography. Jamie Trueblood won in the Motion Picture category, and Suzanne Tenner won for Television.
